The biggest myth about positivity? That you’re positive all the time.

Thank you all for your support last Saturday when I wrote about the hard time H and I have been having. I want to stay positive here and encourage and motivate people who may be having a hard time, but its impossible to stay positive and motivated unless you accept that sometimes you just aren’t feeling either.

It’s almost like an AA thing – you cannot start the process of returning to the happy and positive thought processes until you admit that you aren’t happy and positive in that moment.

Talking about it and writing about it can really help. So crack out those journals, or call a friend and take the leap to say ‘I’m not ok.’ As soon as you do, the sooner you can start to feel better.

I’m working to continue to be positive and encouraging, but thank you all for your support and good thoughts. It truly means a lot.
