Like everyone else lately I have been absolutely motivated to clean my house Marie Kondo style (isn’t she just brilliant!). This included my wardrobe, make up collection, kitchen, bathroom, everything.
So after piling all my clothes on my bed and saying goodbye to the pieces not bringing me any joy, I noticed I had some holes in my wardrobe which needed to be filled. And aren’t I excited about filling them.
As we all know now, I have been struggling with an adverse reaction to silicone on my face. This means I have had to replace my foundation along with almost everything else in my beauty cabinet. And lets be honest – I got to spend an hour in the beauty section of David Jones, so really thats the biggest win here.
And I know you can see by the picture and name, this is about a golden oldy that EVERYONE has done a review on. But in the name of reviewing things I’m finding for the first time and getting to grips on this product thing, I’m giving Mac Face and Body a crack.
I went to a barre attack class on Monday night. I really like barre attack, I get to feel like the ballet dancer I never was. I can still dream about doing classes and coming out this elegant, graceful woman who moves like clouds transport her everywhere.
Now barre attack is not ballet, and I know that. Its this high intensity, ballet / pilates mix that feels like the instructor is trying to murder you through dance.
A while ago I wrote about how my skin started rejecting products with silicone in them, specifically the ingredient dimethicone (I know this isn’t the only silicone ingredient but it seems to be the one my skin reacts most to). I don’t know why this was, or what caused it, but I had to adjust my whole beauty routine, including make up.
So before I fell unwell last week, I have been really getting back into some of the things that I used to love but haven’t really kept up with in the hub-bub of early career madness and health difficulties.
I recently found I was getting a lot of texture on my face, down along my chin.
I left it alone for a while, thinking it would clear itself up. However the longer I left it, the redder it became and eventually it turned into large, angry pimples that were very sore and full of puss.
